These are studio paintings done on Gallery Wrap canvas, and hardboard constructs. They are painted around the edges and are meant to be displayed unframed, or presented in a museum style, or Floater Frame.
In the studio, I take my outdoor painting experience to a different level. I like the feel of abstract painting where all the skills of drawing, composition, and color learned over the years comes together as an emotional and unmitigated response to the landscape in a pure form of expression. This is part of my, "Bear in the Rocks" language of art described in my Artist's Statement. It is in its essence becoming one with the creator.
